Conrad Birdie just got his draft notice, and the whole town is about to turn upside‑down. Hearts will race, teens will scream, and one lucky girl is getting the goodbye kiss heard ’round the world.
Now we need you to bring the frenzy to life. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or brand‑new to the stage, there’s a role waiting in this whirlwind of rock‑and‑roll, romance, and ridiculousness.
***PLEASE NOTE***
Kids ages 8-11 years old will be considered for this year’s PreShow Performance opportunity, as well as limited roles within the production of Bye Bye Birdie.
Teens and Adults will be considered for ALL ROLES in Bye Bye Birdie. Some Adult roles will include a Stipend.

General Info
Rehearsal begin Friday, March 6th
Typical rehearsal times are Friday evenings, Saturday (1:30-7:30p) and Sundays (12-8p)
Not all cast members will be called to every rehearsal
Detailed schedules will be posted every Tuesday

ALBERT PETERSON – mid 20s-30s, President of Almaelou Music Corp. Strong Comedic Timing/Strong Mover
(Range: (opt. F2) Bb2-Gb4)
ROSE ALVAREZ – mid 20-30s, Albert’s secretary. Sassy Principal dancer and singer
(Range: (opt. F3) Gb3-C5)
CONRAD BIRDIE – Early 20s. Rock star and teen idol
(Range: Ab2-Gb4)
MRS. MAE PETERSON – Late 50s-60s Albert’s mother, the quintessential “Mama”
MR. HARRY MACAFEE – 40+ Father of Kim and Randolph
(Range: C3-E4)
MRS. DORIS MACAFEE –30+ Mother of Kim and Randolph
(Range: Bb3-F5)
KIM MACAFEE – 15 years old, determined and self-possessed
(Range: G3-Ab5)
RANDOLPH MACAFEE – Kim’s younger brother
(Range: D3-D4)
HUGO PEABODY – Kim’s “steady,” nerdy but sincere
URSULA MERKLE – A hyper-enthusiastic friend and neighbor of Kim’s

ENSEMBLE
Kids Ensemble:
A small group of strong singers/actors to fill out our ensemble.
Teens Ensemble:
Strong Singers and Dancers with big personalities to help tell our story!
Adults Ensemble:
Strong Actor to play parents and bit speaking roles through the show. Some singing required.

WHAT TO BRING TO AUDITIONS
All Auditionees
Auditionees should be prepared with:
A printed headshot/portrait photo, at least 4”x6”, 8”x10” preferred – attached to the auditionee’s resume
A resume of performing/music experience – list name, date of birth, and previous performing experience or training/lessons.
Close-toed shoes and dressed-to-move as auditionees may also learn a brief dance routine
Kids 8 – 11 Years Old
No individual preparation necessary, kids will learn a song and simple movement in the room
Teens and Adults
Please prepare 32 bars or 1 minute of a vocal selection showing off your vocal range and personality! Please bring your own device with tracks only ready to go. In addition, please bring appropriate shoes and clothes to participate in a short Dance Call after you sing.

Parents are asked to wait outside the building after signing in their performer for auditions. If you are waiting at Kat’s for your child, please wait in the car to make room for other auditionees in the lobby.
Parents will not be able to enter the audition room. Please make sure to pick up promptly at the end time
